Base Salary
$140k - $211k/yr
Responsibilities
- Operate and improve the FedNow production environment and large-scale distributed systems.
- Architect and implement monitoring and tooling for capacity planning, utilization reporting, and scaling.
- Design and develop CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code pipeline automation.
- Support resiliency, disaster recovery, business continuity, and related testing.
- Maintain production support, ITIL processes, operational execution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build automation and operational tooling using Python, Java, Go, or similar languages.
- Identify suspected system architecture gaps and design experiments to expose them.
- Collaborate with FedNow engineers and architects to maintain automation across the platform.
Requirements
- Extensive experience working in AWS environments and with services including EC2, EBS, EKS, RDS, Aurora, S3, Route 53, ELB, and IAM.
- Experience with Terraform, Consul, Vault, Ansible, cloud infrastructure platforms, or distributed systems.
- Experience working in Linux environments and with shell scripting.
- Experience supporting infrastructure for large multi-service applications and continuous deployment in microservices architectures.
- Experience with Docker, containers, ECR, and EKS.
- Experience with observability tools such as CloudWatch, OpenSearch, Dynatrace, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Familiarity with fault-injection tooling such as AWS Fault Injection Simulator, Gremlin, ChaosToolkit, or Chaos Monkey.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and automation-focused problem-solving skills.
- Candidates must have resided in the United States for at least three years and successfully complete required security screenings.
