Responsibilities
- Design and modify reusable components for CBC/Radio-Canada digital platforms, including audio/video players.
- Develop and deliver Android product features for the harmonized OTT platform powering CBC Gem and ICI Tou.TV.
- Ensure product quality, standards compliance, application performance, and capacity to handle high loads.
- Participate in user-story development, sprint planning, Scrum activities, retrospectives, code reviews, corrections, adjustments, and deployments.
- Propose solutions to technical challenges and stay informed about digital development trends.
Requirements
- University degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of software development experience.
- Experience developing complex, high-performance mobile applications.
- Proficiency with Android Studio, Git, and Kotlin.
- Experience publishing an application on Google Play.
- Experience working with code reviews and pull requests.
- Knowledge of programming patterns such as MVP or MVVM.
- Ability to read, produce, and follow software architecture diagrams such as UML and sequence diagrams.
- Bilingual English and French communication skills, spoken and written, are mandatory.
- Knowledge of SOLID principles, Jetpack Compose, ExoPlayer, Kotlin Multiplatform, Dagger, Hilt, Koin, Google architecture components, Maven, audio-video streaming, other programming languages, and design patterns is an asset.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, teamwork, initiative, flexibility, critical-thinking, and prioritization skills.
