Base Salary
$179k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop robust cloud-based solutions in collaboration with digital product managers.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify improvement opportunities, reduce technical debt, and enhance system performance through targeted refactoring.
- Mentor engineers and influence long-term technology strategy through evaluation of emerging tools and practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: 7+ years coding with more than two of Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala.
- Preferred: experience with databases, AWS, GCP, Azure, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred: experience troubleshooting cloud environments, using AI-based coding tools and IDE copilots, applying observability, mentoring engineers, and leading cross-functional or large-scale engineering initiatives.
