Base Salary
$100k - $193k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own services end to end, from architecture and implementation through deployment and operations.
- Develop Spring Boot and Java APIs and microservices on Google Cloud Platform using services including Cloud Run, Cloud Spanner, and Cloud Pub/Sub.
- Design, develop, and support full-stack platforms, APIs, and services for connected vehicle experiences.
- Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional engineering teams to gather requirements, define solutions, and deliver production-ready user stories.
- Refactor APIs and microservices, identify technology improvements, and contribute to technical direction and engineering best practices.
- Execute API load and performance testing, integration testing, issue triage, and continuous deployment activities.
- Use tools including Jenkins, SonarQube, Fossa, and GitHub to deploy, improve, and manage software.
- Serve as an architect, hands-on developer, technical lead, consultant, or product evangelist as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive responsibility in cloud-based technically aligned functions.
- Experience designing, deploying, and supporting cloud-based solutions.
- Experience with API methods for systems integration and data exchange.
- Knowledge of security considerations and their implementation in cloud-based software solutions.
- Experience supporting critical applications in an always-on environment.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform or comparable platforms and cloud-native tools including Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Cloud Scheduler, Apigee, GCP Logging, Terraform, Cloud Build, and Tekton.
- Experience with canary deployments and API technologies including JSON, REST, Swagger, and Postman.
- Master’s degree preferred.
