Responsibilities
- Design and build enterprise-grade AI and Generative AI applications using LLMs, AI agents, RAG architectures, vector databases, prompt engineering, Vertex AI, Gemini, LangChain, and LangGraph.
- Lead architecture and development of cloud-native web applications, APIs, backend services, microservices, and event-driven systems.
- Design Databricks Lakehouse architectures and scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, and SQL.
- Lead cloud architecture and implementation across GCP services including Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and IAM services.
- Define architecture standards, engineering practices, technology roadmaps, governance, observability, reliability, scalability, and security frameworks.
- Mentor engineering teams, review solution designs, conduct technical evaluations and proofs of concept, and partner with product, data, analytics, and architecture stakeholders.
- Drive cloud and data modernization, AI adoption, automation, developer productivity, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of software development experience with enterprise applications.
- 5+ years of cloud-native application development experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on Databricks and Spark ecosystem experience.
- 3+ years of experience building AI/ML or Generative AI solutions.
- Strong expertise in GCP architecture and services and strong full-stack development experience using modern web technologies.
- Experience with Python, Java, Node.js, React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Databricks, Delta Lake, Apache Spark, SQL, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, and related technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with AI-powered enterprise applications, retail, payments, commerce, enterprise analytics, MLOps, model monitoring, AI governance, observability, cloud migration, data modernization, and globally distributed engineering teams.
- Preferred certifications include GCP Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Machine Learning Engineer, Databricks Certified Data Engineer, or Databricks Certified Architect.
- Demonstrated architectural vision, stakeholder communication, technical influence, mentoring, and leadership capabilities.
