Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain C, C++, and Rust tools and prototypes for Digital Vehicle Experience software development and validation workflows.
- Support data handling, analysis, application logic, automation, and internal software that improves developer efficiency and prototyping.
- Test and debug software by reproducing issues, validating expected behavior, and documenting results.
- Collaborate with hardware, application, cloud, and cross-functional engineering teams on connectivity reliability, performance, and software prototypes.
- Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, project planning, and progress communication.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, software engineering, applied science and engineering, mechanical engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Must be enrolled in a co-op program and eligible to work full-time, 40 hours per week, for an eight-month term across consecutive semesters.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and not require sponsorship to work in Canada now or in the future.
- Experience with C, C++, or Rust is preferred; JavaScript or Python exposure is a plus.
- Exposure to Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular connectivity, Linux, or Zephyr is preferred.
- Technical project experience, including coordinating group work and managing timelines and deliverables, is preferred.
- Experience gathering stakeholder feedback and iterating solutions based on user needs is preferred.
- Strong collaboration, communication, public speaking, adaptability, and teamwork skills are preferred.
