Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize large, complex latency-sensitive trading products for ultra-low-latency and high-throughput processing.
  • Build execution gateways and interfaces to multiple exchanges and dark pools.
  • Implement fault-tolerant systems and robust recovery mechanisms.
  • Conduct profiling, benchmarking, and tuning of JVM, garbage collection, and networking performance.
  • Design and deliver high-quality software across development, testing, documentation, maintenance releases, and support.
  • Participate in requirements discovery, solution definition, project prioritization, architecture, design decisions, and code reviews.
  • Provide L3 production and user support, resolve issues quickly, and act as a technical and functional contact for internal and external clients.
  • Collaborate with global development, QA, support, product, and stakeholder teams across regions.
  • Contribute to software delivery best practices and own deliveries across the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Proven experience building low-latency trading systems or real-time data pipelines.
  • Strong Core Java skills and deep understanding of multithreading, NIO, concurrency, synchronization, lock-free data structures, and garbage-collection tuning.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, including TCP and UDP, and performance-critical system design.
  • Experience with high-performance messaging, memory management, memory-mapped files, off-heap storage, or zero-copy I/O.
  • Strong understanding of FIX protocols; exchange connectivity or FIX exposure is highly desirable.
  • Experience with trading system development and/or complex event processing.
  • Knowledge of Kafka, Aeron, and Chronicle Queue is desirable.
  • Experience with GitLab CI and continuous integration.
  • Understanding of investment banking, capital markets, and equity trading markets, especially compliance-related issues, is desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
  • Python experience.
