Base Salary
$145k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic, technical, and project leadership for data pipeline development and delivery.
- Develop, design, and maintain scalable data-platform solutions, including data architecture, data models, data quality, exception handling, and operational data exchanges.
- Perform hands-on development, mentor engineers, and guide team performance and delivery.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, QA, project management, business stakeholders, and technology operations to decompose work, prioritize tasks, and deliver software projects.
- Identify technology risks and dependencies, establish mitigation plans, and maintain production-support and deployment documentation.
- Support application operations and deployment automation, including process improvement and handoff to support teams.
- Coordinate with onshore and offshore developers, application support, vendors, and shared functions.
- Implement data security controls and access-management policies for sensitive information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar or equivalent field.
- Minimum of 10–12 years of data engineering experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the financial services industry.
- Minimum of 3 years of strategic project leadership and delivery experience in a matrixed organization.
- Expertise in ETL development, data architecture, data modeling, data quality, best practices, and exception handling.
- Experience with SQL, Google Cloud products, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Composer, Pub/Sub, and SQL Server Integration Services.
- Expertise with Informatica IDMC/IICS and Python coding skills.
- Business analysis experience involving data analysis, business requirements, and data mapping.
- Strong understanding of data warehouses, star schemas, slowly changing dimensions, fact/dimension modeling, data lifecycle, metadata management, and governance standards.
- Experience with data security controls, access management, technical presentations, documentation, and onshore/offshore delivery models.
- Preferred experience with Workday, BMC Remedy Helix, Jira, Rally, Confluent Kafka, data visualization and reporting tools, GitHub, Bamboo, Liquibase, and cloud-based technologies.
