Senior Software Engineer - Java Full Stack

- Lead moderately complex software engineering initiatives and deliverables within a technical domain.
- Design, develop, test, debug, document, upgrade, and deploy application modules and services.
- Build client-side UI components and server-side functionality using Java and modern web technologies.
- Design and implement Java services, RESTful web services, microservices, MVC services, and event-driven architectures.
- Develop highly complex original code and provide coding direction and guidance to junior team members.
- Lead projects, act as an escalation point, and resolve technical challenges with peers, colleagues, and managers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance cloud-native solutions.
- Support the end-to-end product and application development lifecycle, including requirements analysis and technical specifications.
- Improve system resiliency and address risk, compliance, governance, monitoring, and escalation requirements.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Experience developing web-based applications with UI and server technologies such as Angular, React, Spring Framework, JDBC, and JavaBeans.
- Experience developing Java services, Spring Boot RESTful web services, microservices, Spring and EJB components, and MVC REST services.
- Experience with Oracle or SQL Server databases and REST APIs.
- Strong knowledge of JUnit or TestNG, Selenium, and test automation.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as OpenShift or PCF and with delivering cloud solutions.
- Experience designing microservices, event-driven architectures, and cross-platform consumption patterns for high availability and scalability.
- Experience with Autosys or similar orchestration tools, object storage, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Advanced knowledge of object-oriented design and development, Java patterns and practices, Agile software development techniques, and DevOps practices.
- Ability to lead initiatives, collaborate across teams, solve complex technical challenges, and guide less experienced staff.
