Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of complex application systems aligned with enterprise architecture and evolving business requirements.
- Define system enhancements with management teams to support new products and process improvements.
- Analyze complex business processes and system workflows to resolve high-impact technical problems.
- Establish and enforce standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
- Translate business and stakeholder context into well-scoped technical solutions across the development lifecycle.
- Use AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot and Devin with rigorous review of quality, security, context, and architecture.
- Mentor and coach mid-level developers and analysts while providing technical guidance and allocating work.
- Assess engineering and business risks and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and controls.
- Manage and deliver technology projects end to end across teams and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience in applications development or systems analysis with a record of delivering complex software solutions.
- Deep expertise in system analysis and software application programming, including independent technical problem-solving.
- Subject matter expertise in at least one applications-development domain sufficient to set technical direction and define best practices.
- Strong T-shaped engineering capability spanning deep technical specialization, business-process understanding, stakeholder interpretation, and solution design.
- Strong leadership and project-management capability with experience guiding mid-level engineers and analysts.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to reprioritize rapidly while maintaining delivery momentum.
- Experience in large-scale financial services or similarly complex regulated technology environments is beneficial.
- Hands-on prompt engineering and experience with agentic or skills-based AI solutions is beneficial.
- Demonstrated engagement with evolving AI tooling and ability to help teams adopt AI safely and effectively is beneficial.
