Responsibilities
- Support engineering teams and independently manage projects and processes with limited supervision.
- Design, build, and maintain large-scale production services, web applications, data pipelines, and streaming systems.
- Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
- Research, analyze, and document findings, and evaluate code for validity, structure, standards alignment, and operating-system compatibility.
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes and maintain current knowledge of technologies and programming practices.
- Participate in test review, analysis, witnessing, and software certification.
- Coach and review the work of other team members when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent business experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Advanced knowledge of the applicable work area and strong knowledge of programming languages and software fundamentals.
- Strong knowledge of software development tools, including version control, build processes, debuggers, and test frameworks.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and processes, manage competing priorities, and work independently under pressure.
- Strong verbal, written, organizational, and time-management skills.
