Responsibilities

  • Map team work to quality targets and drive visibility into progress.
  • Collect, analyze, and report actionable quality metrics and test data to stakeholders.
  • Identify quality concerns and risks, collaborate on mitigation strategies, and communicate task progress and blockers.
  • Analyze crash reports and debug logs to identify root causes and triage engine issues.
  • Triage, monitor, and prioritize defects in the defect database.
  • Improve team-level test execution methods and provide feedback on content and code.
  • Author test plans and oversee test execution with global test partners.
  • Coach a quality mindset and maintain a high quality bar across the team and VALORANT organization.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with game engines, related applications, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience participating in technical design discussions and building quality solutions such as test harnesses, validation tools, and debugging workflows.
  • Experience designing and executing whitebox and blackbox test plans.
  • Experience with scripting for test automation, including visual scripting.
  • Experience managing components of a defect database, tasking remote testers, and providing feedback on their effectiveness.
  • Experience working embedded with multidisciplinary teams on Agile product development.
  • Experience creating custom reports on test coverage and defect data.
  • Preferred experience includes professional QA work on game engines, deep-dive technical investigations, first-person shooter development, Unreal Engine 5, Perforce, Zephyr, Git, and Unreal Insights or similar profiling tools.
  • Preferred certifications include ISTQB Foundation Level, ISTQB Agile Tester, ICAgile Agile Testing, ISTQB Expert Level, ISTQB Advanced Test Manager, or ICAgile Test Expert.
