Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and support scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architectures.
- Build event-driven applications and integrations using Apache Kafka.
- Develop frontend solutions using Angular and/or React.
- Design and integrate REST APIs and other integration services.
- Develop and support solutions hosted in AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
- Work with persistent storage technologies including MongoDB.
- Build, deploy, and support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Participate in CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Improve application performance, resiliency, reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Develop and maintain automated testing strategies and frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
- Contribute to technical design discussions and document technical solutions and application designs.
- Support and mentor less experienced engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 7–9 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale production solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Apache Kafka, AWS and/or Azure, MongoDB or similar storage technologies, and Angular and/or React.
- Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and supporting production applications.
- Experience with object-oriented design principles, Agile/Scrum environments, and modern DevOps and CI/CD practices.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts through verbal communication, documentation, code, and diagrams.
- Ability to work onsite three days per week in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area.
- Preferred experience includes Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GraphQL, Selenium, TestNG, Postman, SonarQube, Cypress, JUnit, NUnit, PyTest, Cucumber, Playwright, WireMock, Mockito, Moq, observability, performance optimization, security vulnerability remediation, and highly available resilient architectures.
