Software Engineer, Marketing Recommendations

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Data Scientists and Engineers to introduce features, models, and techniques that improve the recommendation platform.
  • Write clean, well-designed, testable, and efficient code across the application development life cycle.
  • Build and support cloud infrastructure, including AWS-based systems.
  • Maintain and evolve real-time processing systems.
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, propose solutions, and ensure system health through automated testing and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to provide efficient automated processes.
  • Integrate with third-party applications and vendors and investigate alternative technical approaches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of software development experience using Java, Python, or a similar high-level language.
  • Strong knowledge of Python and experience developing highly available, reliable distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with AWS services including EC2, S3, Elastic Beanstalk, and AWS Lambda.
  • Experience with containerized applications, Kafka, and Kafka Streams.
  • Effective visual and verbal communication skills.
  • Data Engineering, ETL, PySpark, and PyTorch experience are bonuses.
