Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end solution architecture across discovery, design, delivery, and operational readiness.
Design and implement scalable platform infrastructure, APIs, microservices, data pipelines, and shared services.
Own client-facing solution delivery, including workshops, prototypes, technical presentations, implementation, and operational accountability.
Design and govern partner integrations involving payments, loyalty, inventory, SaaS APIs, authentication, API contracts, error handling, and versioning.
Lead Discovery and Delivery Tracks, translating validated discoveries into production backlogs and implementations.
Write production code, build reference implementations, participate in code reviews, and solve complex technical problems hands-on.
Define architecture standards, reusable patterns, non-functional requirements, quality gates, and risk mitigations.
Mentor engineers and architects and contribute to platform strategy, reusable assets, automation, and cross-team alignment.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
At least 8 years of professional software development experience, including recent hands-on coding and prototyping.
At least 5 years designing cloud-native, microservices, or event-driven architectures on Azure or equivalent cloud platforms.
Strong experience building platform infrastructure, scalable backend systems, APIs, prototypes, and reference implementations.
Experience owning medium-to-large solution delivery from design and implementation through post-release operations.
Experience with partner integrations such as payments, SaaS APIs, loyalty, inventory, or authentication providers.
Expertise in API-first design using REST and OpenAPI, plus experience with relational and non-relational databases.
Experience with containerization and Kubernetes-based delivery pipelines.
Practical experience with generative AI and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor.
Strong stakeholder communication, workshop facilitation, mentoring, code review, and architecture governance skills.
Preferred qualifications include retail platform knowledge, Azure or AWS Solutions Architect certification, API gateway or integration-platform experience, API security and compliance knowledge, formal API specifications, distributed systems, infrastructure as code, and Dual-Track Agile leadership.
