Responsibilities
- Develop automotive embedded software using C and C++.
- Develop device drivers and configure AUTOSAR BSW and/or Complex Device Drivers.
- Work with SoC architectures, embedded hardware/software interactions, RTOS, memory and communication stacks, diagnostic modules, Ethernet, bootloaders, and time synchronization.
- Use static analysis and code-quality tools such as QAC.
- Develop Python scripts for automation and tooling.
- Collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain safe work practices, comply with Magna health and safety requirements, and participate in training and hazard reporting.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in automotive software development.
- Strong programming skills in Embedded C/C++.
- Hands-on experience in device driver development.
- Experience with AUTOSAR BSW and/or Complex Device Drivers.
- Good understanding of SoC architectures and embedded hardware/software interactions.
- Understanding of RTOS, memory stack technologies, communication stacks, XCP, diagnostic modules, Ethernet stack, functional safety, bootloaders, and time synchronization.
- Experience with QAC or comparable static analysis and code-quality tools.
- Experience with multiple MCU/SoC environments such as Texas Instruments, STMicroelectronics, and NXP.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and Python scripting for automation and tooling.
- Radar systems experience, particularly 60 GHz or 77 GHz mmWave, is preferred.
- Effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
