Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable, maintainable, and high-performing Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android architecture patterns.
- Define and evolve application architecture with emphasis on scalability, modularity, testability, code quality, and long-term maintainability.
- Build reusable mobile components and experiences for sponsored products, sponsored brands, native placements, display banners, personalized recommendations, and other Retail Media formats.
- Integrate advertising placements into product discovery, search, category, product detail, and other commerce journeys while maintaining a high-quality customer experience.
- Collaborate with backend, data, product, ad server, and Retail Media teams on APIs, tracking contracts, campaign metadata, targeting, attribution, and measurement.
- Develop configurable solutions that support new ad formats, placements, campaigns, and monetization use cases.
- Improve testing, performance, observability, security, app stability, technical health, CI/CD reliability, build performance, and release processes.
- Implement and evolve feature flags, experimentation frameworks, and A/B testing for customer and advertising experiences.
- Review and guide technical and architectural decisions, document systems and processes, reduce technical debt, and contribute to engineering standards.
Requirements
- Extensive experience developing Android applications with strong Kotlin expertise and deep knowledge of the Android SDK.
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines and Flow, dependency injection using Hilt or Dagger, and REST APIs using Retrofit or OkHttp.
- Strong understanding of clean architecture, design patterns, modularization, performance optimization, scalability, and maintainable code.
- Experience with JUnit, Espresso, MockK, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows.
- Ability to independently own complex projects, collaborate effectively across teams, debug issues, and deliver high-quality results.
- Experience with Retail Media, AdTech, MarTech, or large-scale e-commerce platforms is expected or advantageous.
- Familiarity with Ktor, Koin, Android Jetpack components, and cross-platform development is an additional advantage.
