Responsibilities
- Take progressive co-ownership of the Android codebase, toolchain, and development process.
- Drive architectural decisions for the Android codebase and establish code-quality standards through knowledge sharing and code reviews.
- Collaborate with design, product management, Android and iOS engineers, and other engineering teams.
- Own the full software development lifecycle from requirements and architecture through testing, deployment, and code review.
Requirements
- Require 8+ years of Android development experience with Kotlin Coroutines/Flow, Jetpack Compose, Jetpack libraries including Room, Lifecycle, and ViewModel, Retrofit, and Koin.
- Require strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns applied to production systems.
- Require experience with TDD/BDD, mobile testing using JUnit and Espresso, and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins.
- Require agentic AI coding proficiency, including shaping team workflows, curating context, and optimizing token efficiency.
- Experience with ARCore, game engines, or 3D rendering frameworks is a strong differentiator.
