Responsibilities
- Take progressive co-ownership of the Android codebase, toolchain, and development process.
- Drive architectural decisions for the Android codebase and establish high code-quality standards.
- Collaborate with design, product management, Android/iOS engineers, and other engineering teams.
- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through reviews, testing, and deployment.
- Share knowledge and conduct code reviews across the Mobile Team.
Requirements
- 8+ years of Android development experience.
- Strong architectural decision-making skills with Kotlin Coroutines/Flow, Jetpack Compose, Room, Lifecycle, ViewModel, Retrofit, and Koin.
- Solid computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns applied to production systems.
- Experience with mobile testing using JUnit and Espresso and with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins.
- Full SDLC ownership from requirements and architecture through code reviews, testing, and deployment.
- Agentic AI coding proficiency, including shaping team workflows, curating context, and optimizing token efficiency.
- Experience with ARCore, game engines, or 3D rendering frameworks is a strong differentiator.
