Responsibilities
- Build prototypes and proofs of concept and ship agentic AI solutions to production standard.
- Implement and test tool use, retrieval pipelines, and agent workflows.
- Develop evaluation, observability, guardrails, logging, instrumentation, alerting, and outcome measurement for agentic systems.
- Integrate AI capabilities into existing enterprise workflows and systems through APIs and data pipelines.
- Translate product requirements into software designs and write or review detailed specifications for complex components.
- Complete bug fixes, identify technical risks, and apply coding best practices, code reviews, testing, and delivery practices.
- Maintain code quality and documentation while creating reusable patterns, reference implementations, and starter kits.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and end users, pair-program with squad members, and support solution handover and capability-building.
- Mentor less senior engineers through pair programming and day-to-day collaboration.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience, ideally including AI-enabled or data-intensive systems.
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Experience building RAG pipelines, tool-augmented agents, and agentic workflows, with familiarity with prompt engineering, context management, evaluation, and observability.
- Understanding of agent memory, tools, retrieval, and multi-step task execution.
- Ability to design across multiple system components and translate product requirements into workable software designs.
- Experience writing and reviewing detailed specifications for complex system components.
- Experience integrating AI into existing systems through APIs and data pipelines.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, modern SDLC, TDD, and code review practices.
- Experience with relational, columnar, and vector stores and sound data modeling.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, SQL, and relevant AI SDKs.
- Clear written and verbal communication with technical peers and stakeholders.
- Ability to instrument solutions to capture usage, productivity, and quality metrics against baselines.
- Developing mentoring skills and experience collaborating through pair programming.
