Base Salary
$175k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the reliable operation of algorithmic trading and sequencer-based platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve trading issues in partnership with the trade desk support team.
- Diagnose complex production issues involving internal services and external vendors.
- Perform release and configuration management across environments.
- Define and implement SRE best practices across the team.
- Build a culture of automation through scripting and tooling.
- Conduct incident analytics and drive proactive improvements.
- Lead reviews of system performance and operational metrics.
- Contribute to client onboarding and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop technical solutions.
- Enhance system observability through monitoring and logging improvements.
- Conduct system performance analysis testing.
Requirements
- Strong programming experience in Java and/or Python.
- Proficiency with shell scripting (bash, ksh).
- Understanding of JVM-based distributed applications and Linux systems.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of FIX protocol and onboarding processes.
- Understanding of market data and exchange protocols.
- Experience with containerized applications and AWS services.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
- Deep commitment to automation of the SDLC.
- Ability to leverage GenAI tools to improve code quality.
- Knowledgeable in electronic trading and trading lifecycles.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative and skilled at working across teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
