Base Salary
$150k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins to compile, test, package, and publish software.
- Own reproducible builds, release engineering, semantic versioning, dependency management, and promotion across environments.
- Manage artifact repositories and container registries, including retention, access control, and provenance.
- Develop build tooling and automation scripts with Python, Bash, Make, Bazel, or Gradle.
- Optimize build performance through caching, parallelization, and incremental build strategies.
- Integrate security and quality gates such as SAST, SCA, dependency scanning, and SBOM generation.
- Build, patch, harden, and maintain container images and base image pipelines.
- Provision infrastructure and build environments using Terraform.
- Partner with development, security, and compliance teams to provide self-service tooling and audit evidence.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and organizational build and release standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- At least 8 years of experience in build/release engineering, DevOps, or software infrastructure roles.
- Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Strong Python and Bash scripting and automation skills.
- Experience with artifact and dependency management tools such as Artifactory or Nexus and with container registries.
- Proficiency with Git-based version control and branching and release workflows.
- Working knowledge of Docker containerization.
- Experience with AWS or Azure.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- Preferred experience with DevSecOps, SAST/DAST/SCA scanning, software supply chain security, SBOM generation, and Cosign/Sigstore artifact signing.
- Preferred Kubernetes experience with EKS, AKS, or self-managed Kubernetes, including Helm packaging.
- Preferred GitOps experience with ArgoCD or Flux.
- Preferred experience with Conan, C/C++ package management, YOCTO, custom recipes, and remote artifact caching.
- Preferred experience with AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, IL4/IL5 environments, and DoD or federal compliance frameworks including NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, CMMC, FedRAMP, and DFARS.
- An active Secret or Top Secret security clearance is preferred.
