Responsibilities
- Implement Android features and backend services under the guidance of senior engineers
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to build globally scalable user-facing features
- Develop efficient and maintainable code while balancing performance, security, and reliability
- Work across native Android applications and backend services
- Write unit tests, participate in QA cycles, and help monitor production performance
- Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and documentation
- Continue learning tools and best practices while taking ownership of increasingly complex features
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional software development experience
- B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science or a similar engineering program
- English proficiency with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience building native Android applications with Kotlin or Java
- Exposure to backend development with C# and/or Java
- Familiarity with relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL
- Understanding of software engineering fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
- Experience with Git
- Preferred exposure to React Native, iOS development with Swift or Objective-C, and/or web development
- Preferred familiarity with cloud technologies, Kafka, or microservices
- Preferred experience with automated testing for Android and backend services
