Responsibilities

  • Develop backend and on-device software across a wide range of platforms and technologies.
  • Participate in the full project lifecycle from requirements development through deployment.
  • Own and contribute to technical designs and feature implementations.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Quality Engineering, design, and peer engineers.
  • Research, evaluate, and apply technologies and methodologies to solve challenging project goals.
  • Write organized code and make sound tradeoffs between rapid delivery and robust solutions.
  • Scope ambiguous problems into shippable increments and contribute ideas to product development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong backend engineering experience building and maintaining HTTP APIs and services.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and common design patterns; C# and .NET Core experience is a plus.
  • Strong database fundamentals, including schema design, query optimization, and indexing.
  • Experience with version control, package managers, structured data formats, and observability tooling.
  • Demonstrated testing experience across unit, integration, and end-to-end layers.
  • Experience with peer feedback, design reviews, and code reviews.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate across product, design, and quality assurance teams and drive technical decisions through delivery.
  • Experience scoping and decomposing ambiguous problems into shippable increments.
  • Bonus experience may include automation systems, MicroPython, assembly or other low-level programming, enterprise-scale microservices, Kafka, AI-assisted development tools, Docker, Kubernetes, framework migrations, and application security fundamentals.
