Base Salary
$145k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build multi-agent systems and RAG pipelines that automate financial workflows for private equity-backed portfolio companies.
- Own the full stack from prompt engineering and tool design through deployment and monitoring.
- Define evaluation criteria before implementation and build infrastructure to measure quality and catch regressions.
- Translate ambiguous client problems into engineering requirements and deliver solutions on compressed timelines.
- Present and defend architectural decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including CFOs and private equity operators.
- Build production observability and evaluation infrastructure to continuously improve AI system quality.
- Work directly with clients and cross-functional AI engineering, data science, and product management teammates.
- Ship end-to-end agentic solutions in client engagements and travel to client sites as needed.
Requirements
- 3–8+ years of software engineering experience, with a notable portion focused on AI/ML systems, agent development, or applied LLM engineering.
- Hands-on experience building production LLM applications, including RAG systems, agentic workflows, tool use, and multi-agent orchestration.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, DSPy, or equivalent orchestration frameworks.
- Strong understanding of evaluation methodologies, including designing evaluations, detecting regressions, and assessing LLM output quality.
- Solid data engineering fundamentals, including ETL design, SQL/NoSQL systems, vector databases, and streaming or batch pipelines.
- Ability to use AI tools effectively in daily work and demonstrate measurable productivity gains.
- Preferred qualifications include AI/ML open-source contributions, finance or private equity experience, multi-tenant architecture experience, and consulting, professional services, or client-facing delivery experience.
