Responsibilities
- Own the technical architecture and AI scope for SAP BTP solutions and establish development standards.
- Maintain reference architectures, reusable patterns, and technical accelerators.
- Design SAP BTP subaccount and environment topology, including Cloud Foundry and Kyma runtime choices.
- Architect solutions using HANA Cloud, SAP AI Core, SAP AI Launchpad, generative AI hub, grounding, retrieval, and Joule extensibility.
- Design SAP and non-SAP integrations involving API management, eventing, monitoring, error handling, and retry behavior.
- Resolve technical escalations during build, testing, cutover, and stabilization.
- Estimate effort, complexity, environments, licensing, and consumption and explain SAP BTP commercial models.
- Guide and mentor BTP and AI developers, review their work, and lead internal enablement.
- Advise clients on SAP capabilities and adoption based on released functionality.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in SAP or enterprise integration, including at least four years building on SAP BTP.
- Delivery of at least three production SAP BTP solutions with the ability to explain operational lessons learned.
- At least four years of CAP experience using Node.js or Java.
- At least three years of SAP Integration Suite experience, including API Management and Event Mesh.
- At least two years of SAP Business AI experience.
- Hands-on experience with Cloud Foundry, Kyma, HANA Cloud, XSUAA, IAS, IPS, role collections, and principal propagation.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Good oral and written English communication skills for working with clients across North America.
- Preferred assets include ABAP Cloud, SAP Datasphere, Business Data Cloud, SAP Build Process Automation, Work Zone, CI/CD, CTMS, and gCTS experience.
- Preferred certifications include SAP BTP Solution Architect, BTP Extensions with CAP, Integration Suite, SAP Business AI, or cloud architecture certifications.
