Responsibilities
- Define multi-cloud Azure, AWS, and hybrid target-state architectures, patterns, standards, and roadmaps.
- Design and lead implementation of scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-efficient cloud solutions and shared services.
- Embed with product and delivery teams from discovery through implementation and operations as a front-deployed architect.
- Lead architecture reviews, proof-of-concepts, workload migrations, and Azure and AWS infrastructure deployment plans.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, scaling, patching, and operational procedures using Infrastructure as Code and orchestration tools.
- Integrate ServiceNow with change, incident, problem, and CMDB processes and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting through New Relic and Azure tools.
- Design secure hybrid networking, identity and access management, encryption, high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Create reference architectures and best practices, optimize cloud spend, coordinate cross-functional technical teams, and mentor architects and engineers.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree, diploma, or equivalent demonstrable experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in application and/or infrastructure solution architecture within large, complex enterprises.
- At least 4 years of experience designing and building large-scale Microsoft Azure cloud architectures; AWS and hybrid experience is preferred.
- Experience leading large-scale technology implementations, IT operating model transformations, cost-reduction initiatives, or workforce transformations.
- Strong experience with Azure Cloud services, core AWS services, Infrastructure as Code, automation, orchestration, monitoring, security tools, ServiceNow, and cloud cost optimization.
- Understanding of Azure PaaS services, Kubernetes, Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, cloud and hybrid networking, and related security controls.
- Ability to lead integrated project teams across multiple technical disciplines, assess complex issues, communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, and mentor others.
- Strategic, analytical, collaborative, delivery-focused, and comfortable working with internal customers, partners, and global teams.
