Base Salary
$120k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own reliability across Cvent’s global product portfolio as an embedded SRE partner to development teams.
- Modernize legacy EC2 and Ruby systems and migrate acquired companies onto Cvent’s platform using CDK.
- Build, tune, and operate AI agents for ticket triage, migration checks, pull request review, and incident postmortems.
- Define SLIs and SLOs, instrument journey health, improve alerting, and conduct incident retrospectives.
- Lead architecture reviews and production-readiness decisions with development teams.
- Create and maintain runbooks, postmortems, playbooks, and agent training sets.
- Guide teams toward CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and security standards without becoming a bottleneck.
Requirements
- Production experience shipping and improving CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
- Operational depth with AWS ECS, AWS EKS, or Kubernetes at customer-serving scale.
- Scripting proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Bash.
- Hands-on experience building dashboards and using Datadog, Splunk, or equivalent observability tools.
- Experience leading incidents, writing postmortems, and following through with stakeholders.
- Practical experience with SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and toil accounting.
- Experience working closely with product development teams within an Agile software development lifecycle.
- Experience using Claude Code, Cursor, or other AI coding assistants is a strong plus.
- Experience integrating LLM-based tooling into CI/CD or operational workflows is a strong plus.
- EKS/Kubernetes cluster operations, legacy modernization, and Chef or Ansible experience are strong pluses.
