Base Salary
$208k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own technical design and architecture for complex full-stack systems spanning web, mobile, backend services, APIs, data models, and event-driven architectures.
- Deliver new receiver-facing product experiences from 0 to 1 and ship capabilities end to end.
- Integrate receiver products with money movement, global disbursement, FX, liquidity, identity, pricing, and compliance platforms.
- Embed AML, KYC, least-privilege access, encryption, audit trails, and local regulatory requirements into product development.
- Build reliable, observable, scalable systems meeting strict availability and latency SLOs.
- Lead multi-team technical initiatives and influence architecture across team boundaries.
- Mentor engineers, lead design and code reviews, uphold architecture standards, and promote strong coding, testing, and system design practices.
- Use AI tools throughout the software development workflow and help teammates adopt them effectively.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development experience building and operating systems end to end.
- Expertise building customer-facing products at scale with TypeScript, React, and/or native mobile development using iOS, Android, or React Native.
- Expertise in one or more backend languages such as Java, Kotlin, Go, or Python.
- Experience designing and building distributed, large-scale systems using service-oriented and event-driven architectures, RESTful and asynchronous APIs, and relational or distributed databases.
- Experience leading large, multi-team initiatives end to end and influencing technical direction across teams.
- Experience using AI throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and their managed services.
- Strong written, verbal communication, collaboration, and cross-functional partnership skills.
- Preferred experience building financial products for emerging markets.
- Preferred background in payments infrastructure including card rails, ACH, real-time payment networks, mobile money, or digital wallets.
- Preferred familiarity with AML/KYC frameworks, PCI-DSS, or SOC 2 in a software context.
- Preferred experience in FinTech, payments, or other regulated industries.
