Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and support simple-to-complex SAP solutions across the full software development lifecycle.
- Develop SAP applications using Object-Oriented ABAP, SAP Fiori/UI5, and the RESTful ABAP Programming Model.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs aligned with Dow architecture standards.
- Design integration patterns, prepare architecture diagrams and technical documentation, and assess integration costs.
- Perform advanced debugging, performance optimization, and resolution of complex technical, integration, and production-support issues.
- Support SAP S/4HANA transformation, custom-code remediation, upgrades, and enterprise SAP implementations.
- Use AI-powered developer tools for coding, test automation, documentation generation, and productivity improvements.
- Mentor junior developers and promote coding standards, modern SAP practices, and effective AI-tool adoption.
- Communicate status, risks, issues, and outcomes to business and technical stakeholders.
- Provide development estimates and contribute to delivery planning using Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Math, Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, relevant military experience at or above the specified U.S. or Canadian rank, or eight years of experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
- At least five years of experience as an SAP Full Stack Developer; eight or more years is preferred.
- Experience with at least three full-lifecycle SAP implementation projects.
- Strong hands-on experience with Object-Oriented ABAP, SAP Fiori/UI5, RAP, SAP S/4HANA, and enterprise SAP solution development.
- Experience with OData Services, SAP Workflow, IDocs, Adobe Forms, Smart Forms, Reports, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancements, Program Routines, and Substitutions.
- Experience with or desirable knowledge of Web Dynpro ABAP, Floorplan Manager, Business Objects, CDS Views, and S/4HANA development capabilities.
- Exposure to SAP PI/PO, SAP Business Technology Platform, API Management, and SAP Integration Suite is preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical, integration, and production-support issues and work across business, functional, and technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently, mentor developers, communicate clearly, and influence technical direction.
- Ability to travel up to 5% domestically and internationally and work legally in the United States.
