Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software components and applications for Audible’s audio advertising products.
- Own critical infrastructure, real-time ad serving pipelines, and systems processing billions of annual ad opportunities.
- Optimize ad serving latency, infrastructure cost, and business metrics at scale.
- Collaborate with Product, Applied Science, stakeholders, and cross-functional engineering teams to define, design, and launch customer-centric solutions.
- Apply data structures, algorithms, and diverse design approaches to solve complex technical problems.
- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and influence engineering team decisions.
- Mentor and lead developers while fostering software quality, maintainability, and technical understanding.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering expertise and the ability to design, architect, and implement scalable intelligent systems.
- Proficiency in data structures and algorithms and their practical application.
- Ability to independently clarify technical requirements, estimate development work, and evaluate design approaches.
- Ability to write scalable, maintainable, high-quality code and contribute effectively on a collaborative engineering team.
- Ability to translate complex business challenges into scalable software and machine learning solutions.
- Ability to mentor developers and provide technical leadership.
