Base Salary
$225k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Embed with approximately 3–5 concurrent customer accounts from kickoff through production
- Join customer operations calls, understand customer needs, and lead technical conversations
- Build production software including integrations for meters, sensors, and OEM devices
- Develop energy-accounting and bill-credit reporting, behavioral demand-response programs, data pipelines, and supporting infrastructure
- Design reusable reference architectures rather than one-off customer solutions
- Perform landscape analyses for unfamiliar data classes and determine platform fit, services scope, or opportunities for new reference architectures
- Translate technical requirements between Texture’s engineering team and non-technical utility customers
- Specify work independently, collaborate directly with the CTO and engineering team, and share on-call ownership for shipped systems
Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience and repeated experience shipping production systems
- Ability to operate independently, own ambiguity, and make sound decisions without a PM or detailed specification
- Strong communication skills, especially when explaining technical systems to non-technical audiences
- Backend integration experience is central; breadth across DevOps, infrastructure, data engineering, or data science is beneficial but not required
- Curiosity about the energy grid and utility systems
- Prior forward-deployed, solutions-engineering, or consulting experience is a plus but not required
