Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot secure, scalable software solutions across multiple technical areas.
- Build and operate cloud-native solutions using Kubernetes and at least one of AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Develop services primarily in Golang and/or Java.
- Produce secure, high-quality production code and review code written by other engineers.
- Drive consistent validation, automated testing, secure coding, and peer-review practices across the team.
- Promote reusable engineering patterns and scalable approaches to improve delivery efficiency.
- Automate remediation of recurring issues and improve operational stability.
- Lead architectural and technical-fit evaluations with vendors, startups, and internal teams.
- Drive team adoption of approved AI-assisted engineering practices and establish expectations for validating AI-generated outputs.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools and enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities.
Requirements
- Formal software engineering training or certification and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Golang and/or Java.
- Experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools for coding, code review, test acceleration, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, security, and compliant engineering practices.
- Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Advanced understanding of CI/CD, application resiliency, security, and agile development practices.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
- Practical cloud-native experience.
- Spec Drive Development experience is preferred.
- Strong day-to-day fluency with AI tools is preferred.
- Prior cloud governance knowledge is preferred.
