Responsibilities
- Validate AWS access management, including IAM, SSO, cross-account access, and SCP guardrails.
- Test deployments, configuration changes, environment consistency, network and firewall changes, and AWS service upgrades.
- Verify security finding remediation and retest issues to confirm closure.
- Validate CI/CD pipelines, quality gates, rollback behavior, alerts, alarms, and Grafana dashboards.
- Perform database checks, performance testing, data lake and ETL pipeline testing, and data quality validation.
- Validate legacy asset management data, track bugs to resolution, and support legacy-to-cloud migration testing as needed.
- Maintain test plans, test cases, reports, and runbooks.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in QA or test engineering, ideally with cloud infrastructure and data platforms.
- 3+ years of experience writing Python scripts.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Organizations in a multi-account environment, including IAM and Service Control Policies.
- Experience testing AWS Lambda, ECS on EC2, ECS on Fargate, AWS networking services, and AWS security services.
- Strong SQL skills with RDS PostgreSQL and Aurora PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines, Repos, and Boards, or similar tools such as Bitbucket and Jira.
- Experience with monitoring tools and CloudWatch.
- Understanding of tagging strategies and tag enforcement through SCPs.
- Experience using Python, Bash, or PowerShell for test automation and the AWS CLI or boto3.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK; data testing frameworks; JMeter, k6, or Locust; legacy-to-cloud migration validation; and AWS certification such as Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or Security Specialty.
