Base Salary
$93k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and architect software applications and systems.
- Own and evolve backend member-support services supporting Aetna Health web and mobile applications.
- Design, build, and test REST APIs and microservices.
- Conduct system testing and debugging.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the technical direction and innovation of digital engineering projects.
- Plan, deliver, and support software solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- 3+ years of experience with at least one of Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, or SQL.
- 3+ years of experience designing, building, and testing REST APIs and microservices.
- 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, or other cloud systems.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, including a high school diploma plus four years of relevant experience.
- Preferred experience with Jest, Mocha, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, serverless architectures, open source frameworks, and Agile practices.
