Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain ServiceNow Discovery across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
- Configure credentials, MID Servers, probes, sensors, discovery schedules, data reconciliation, and CMDB data hygiene.
- Design, develop, and maintain Service Mapping patterns, including custom and out-of-the-box applications.
- Implement Event Management capabilities such as event rules, alert management, correlation rules, and alert grouping.
- Integrate monitoring and external systems with ServiceNow using MID Servers, REST, SOAP, and APIs.
- Develop custom discovery patterns, workflows, and automation solutions tailored to business requirements.
- Configure Service Maps, impact rules, Service Operating Workspace, and Service Dashboard capabilities.
- Perform ServiceNow testing, including test case design, test planning, execution, reporting, and test automation using ATF.
- Analyze stakeholder requirements and translate business needs into technical automation solutions.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, clients, and other stakeholders while following ServiceNow security, compliance, and development standards.
Requirements
- 8 to 10 years of experience in ServiceNow ITOM development.
- Graduation or post-graduation in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least two ServiceNow CIS certifications, such as CIS Discovery, CIS Event Management, CIS Service Mapping, or CIS AIOps.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, CMDB, MID Server architecture, and related troubleshooting.
- Experience configuring Discovery for on-premises and cloud environments, including AWS and GCP.
- Experience with authentication mechanisms, custom discovery patterns, out-of-the-box patterns, and discovery issue analysis.
- Experience integrating external monitoring sources such as Dynatrace and SolarWinds with Event Management.
- Experience configuring event rules, alert rules, Flow Designer, Incident Management, event correlation, and alert grouping.
- Experience configuring Service Maps using top-down and dynamic CI approaches and understanding Service Operating Workspace and Service Dashboard.
- Knowledge of shell scripting and Unix/Linux commands.
- Experience conducting ServiceNow quality-control testing and analyzing results.
- Preferred certifications include Certified Implementation Specialist - Field Service Management, CIS Discovery, CIS Event Management, CIS Service Mapping, CIS AIOps, CIS-CSM, and CIS-ITSM.
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
