Responsibilities
- Lead complex architectural initiatives across multiple product teams and product domains.
- Design and evolve large-scale customer-facing SaaS and internal product platforms.
- Translate product strategy and requirements into practical, executable architecture.
- Develop cloud-native, API-first, event-driven, distributed, and platform architectures.
- Design data-intensive systems and enterprise or partner integrations, including authentication, authorization, and versioning.
- Define and evolve architectural standards, reference patterns, and deployment approaches.
- Lead collaborative architecture reviews and guide teams through architectural trade-offs.
- Write code, review pull requests, build prototypes, and validate designs through implementation.
- Design for security, compliance, privacy, availability, performance, scalability, and operational readiness.
- Lead through influence, mentor senior engineers and technical leads, and communicate decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong experience designing and evolving large-scale customer-facing SaaS and internal product platforms.
- Expert knowledge of cloud-native architectures using Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience with microservices, modular monoliths, event-driven patterns, API-first design, and contract-driven design.
- Understanding of shared services, internal platforms, standardized deployment paths, and platform engineering concepts.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, resiliency, fault tolerance, observability, consistency trade-offs, and data-intensive systems.
- Expertise in enterprise and partner integrations, API gateways, authentication, authorization, and versioning strategies.
- Experience establishing architectural standards and leading collaborative architecture reviews.
- Strong background in modern programming languages and frameworks, including C#, Python, or TypeScript.
- Experience designing secure systems with identity, data protection, secrets management, threat modeling, compliance, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence across multiple teams, mentor senior engineers and technical leads, and communicate clearly about technical trade-offs.
