Base Salary
$170k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the quality strategy for Payments Acceptance and embed automated end-to-end validation and quality gates into engineering pipelines.
- Design and execute high-concurrency load, stress, performance, and latency testing for payment systems at extreme transaction volumes.
- Build automated test suites, synthetic data generation workflows, AI-assisted edge-case analysis, and high-performance emulators for external systems and partner integrations.
- Implement Prometheus- and Grafana-based telemetry and test environments to monitor system behavior under load and prevent incidents.
- Partner with feature teams to create automated testing golden paths and mentor engineers on quality engineering practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on quality engineering, test automation framework design, and performance testing for complex, high-throughput distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience building automated test suites with Java, Python, Go, or TypeScript and validating REST APIs and microservices.
- Experience designing and running performance, stress, and load tests at scale using JMeter, Locust, Gatling, or k6.
- Experience embedding automated quality gates into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and GitOps in Docker and Kubernetes/EKS environments on AWS.
- Experience testing event-driven architectures using Kafka and SQS and validating relational or NoSQL databases for consistency and transactional integrity under load.
- Preferred qualifications include tokenization, payment processing, security product, 3DS, Network Tokens, Account Updater, payment gateway, AI developer tooling, LLM-generated test automation, synthetic test data, PCI-DSS, SOC2, and cloud security experience, plus a BA/BS degree.
