Responsibilities
- Research, design, define, develop, test, document, and implement new computer applications and application changes.
- Install software packages and personal computer software and help ensure hardware and software operate efficiently.
- Analyze processing problems, collect and interpret data, establish facts, and develop effective solutions.
- Advise business unit associates and programming staff on technical and application-related topics.
- Participate in developmental projects, large-scale improvement projects, and internal IT technical committees.
- Train programming staff and business associates on technical topics and systems definition.
- Manage several assignments with varying deadlines and provide regular updates to the Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or commensurate selection criteria experience.
- Proven programming experience covering research, design, requirements gathering, business-unit collaboration, development, testing, documentation, and production support.
- Ability to advise programming associates on technical and application aspects of the job.
- Demonstrated teamwork, analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work on several deadlines with moderate supervision.
- Proficiency in programming languages required by the applicable business unit.
- Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
