Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for WebApps and Connected TV applications.
- Create, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and regression suites.
- Develop automated functional, integration, end-to-end, API, and UI tests across multiple client platforms.
- Perform white-box, black-box, exploratory, regression, integration, performance, stability, reliability, and compatibility testing.
- Build reusable automation libraries and testing utilities and improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with engineering, product, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes, resolve defects with development teams, and investigate customer-reported issues.
- Mentor engineers on automation practices and support production releases and engineering process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing and test automation.
- Strong experience building automation frameworks with Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Experience testing modern web applications and client applications on Connected TV platforms such as LG webOS, Samsung Tizen, and Kepler.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and API automation tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD platforms.
- Familiarity with test management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray.
- Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred experience testing OTT, streaming media, or digital entertainment applications; using BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, HeadSpin, or cloud-based device farms; and working with HLS, DRM, or adaptive bitrate streaming.
