Software Engineer (SRE - Platform Services) Intern (Infrastructure Engineering) - 2027 Start
ByteDanceResponsibilities
- Improve the full lifecycle of infrastructure services from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement.
- Support pre-launch activities including capacity planning and launch reviews.
- Maintain and monitor services for availability, latency, and overall system health.
- Scale systems through automation and improve reliability and development velocity.
- Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
- Analyze user needs and develop software solutions using computer science, engineering, and mathematical principles.
- Update software, enhance existing capabilities, and develop software testing and validation procedures.
- Collaborate with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and define specifications and performance requirements.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with one or more programming languages such as Go, Java, C++, or Python.
- Preferred: strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, attention to detail, communication, and collaboration skills.
