Base Salary
$230k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and build high-performance mobile tools for patients and providers
- Integrate Apple HealthKit and Google Health Connect to ingest and visualize patient data
- Build secure messaging systems connecting patients with care teams
- Use Expo and EAS to manage builds, native modules, and over-the-air updates
- Design offline-first synchronization and local caching for unreliable connectivity
- Improve mobile UX, performance, navigation transitions, keyboard behavior, and accessibility
- Integrate AI capabilities into mobile interfaces to automate clinical operations and streamline patient support
- Own mobile architecture, shared patterns across web and mobile clients, code reviews, testing practices, and production reliability
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of frontend engineering experience with deep specialization in React Native and Expo
- Experience building, shipping, and maintaining complex, data-heavy mobile applications in production
- Expertise with Expo, EAS builds, custom native modules, Config Plugins, and iOS App Store and Google Play Store review requirements
- Strong understanding of mobile rendering performance, asynchronous data fetching, state management, list rendering, and UI thread optimization
- Experience owning production applications, release pipelines, crash monitoring, and application reliability
- Experience with native iOS or Android development using Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, or Java is preferred
- Experience using agentic AI development tools such as Codex 5.3 or Claude Opus 4.6
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work within healthcare regulatory, compliance, and patient-safety constraints
- Staff-level candidates should have experience setting technical direction across teams and leveling up engineers
