Base Salary
$200k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain high-performance Rust, C, and C++ software across distributed edge and cloud systems.
- Develop hardware-aware software interfacing with SDR hardware, FPGA fabric, embedded Linux, device drivers, memory-mapped I/O, and DMA buffers.
- Build reliable streaming data paths for IQ samples, detection events, and metadata using packetization and custom TCP/UDP transport.
- Build and operate cloud data processing pipelines for high-bandwidth RF captures and telemetry from a globally distributed fleet.
- Work directly with customers to shape requirements and translate operational needs into technical solutions.
- Productionize RF and DSP algorithms prototyped in Python or GNU Radio.
- Own device provisioning, configuration, versioning, release tooling, remote updates, and monitoring.
- Establish automated testing, hardware-in-the-loop validation, CI/CD, code review, design, and documentation practices.
- Support field deployments and diagnose live-unit issues using logs, telemetry, and captured data.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software development experience and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong coding and debugging skills in C, C++, or Rust, with production Rust experience strongly preferred.
- Experience developing systems software on resource-constrained embedded Linux platforms and working with hardware-software interfaces and computer architecture.
- Proficiency implementing or debugging IP networking and custom TCP/UDP protocols.
- Experience building and operating large-scale distributed cloud data-processing pipelines for high-volume or streaming data.
- Hands-on AWS experience, including services such as S3, IoT Core, Lambda, ECS, and Kinesis, with infrastructure-as-code familiarity preferred.
- 2+ years of experience working with or adjacent to RF, SDR, or wireless communications software.
- Ability to independently decompose complex problems, work directly with customers, and carry solutions through deployment.
- Active U.S. security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain one.
- Bonus qualifications include FPGA-based SoC exposure, digital signal processing experience, GNSS timing or geolocation, and defense, maritime, or government program experience.
