Base Salary
$108k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, code, update, test, and deploy software features and performance improvements.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements and design through deployment.
- Serve as technical lead for small projects and provide technical direction.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and review software for quality and maintainability.
- Improve engineering processes, workflows, tools, and practices.
- Evaluate field-test results and translate findings into software enhancements.
- Communicate technical progress, risks, and solutions with client stakeholders.
- Travel up to 25% for field testing, client engagements, and program milestones.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a STEM field plus 8+ years of professional software development experience, or a master’s degree plus 6+ years of professional experience.
- Understanding of data structures and professional experience with C++ and Linux.
- Experience with source control and configuration management tools.
- Experience working in teams and providing guidance and coaching to other developers.
- Exposure to high availability, sensor fusion, target tracking, path planning, communications systems, or military systems integration.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Preferred experience includes Java, front-end development frameworks, relational databases, Python, complex systems design, TCP/IP, UDP, DDS, simulations, vector geometry, Docker, Kubernetes, RKE2, Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, or Jenkins.
- Active Secret Security Clearance is preferred.
Benefits
- Pay range is $107,900.00–$195,050.00.
- Arlington, Virginia-based role with travel of up to 25% for field testing, client engagements, and program milestones.
