Responsibilities
- Define validation strategy and test coverage across unit, integration, system, regression, and endurance testing.
- Own the software release process from planning through deployment and post-release verification.
- Build and maintain release-readiness frameworks, including entry and exit criteria, go/no-go checklists, sign-offs, and rollback plans.
- Develop CI pipelines, automated regression suites, test infrastructure, scenario libraries, instrumentation, and debugging workflows.
- Coordinate verification across simulation, hardware-in-the-loop systems, laboratory rigs, and field test robots.
- Establish performance benchmarks and acceptance thresholds for accuracy, latency, stability, uptime, and safety.
- Translate product requirements into testable acceptance criteria, validation plans, and requirements-to-test traceability.
- Own release notes, known-issue documentation, validation reports, deployment playbooks, and version-control practices.
- Validate robotics systems involving servomotors, automation sensors, vision systems, battery management, and safety components.
- Develop and test algorithms for trajectory generation, motion control, robotics motion, and system optimization.
- Ensure safe deployment practices and compliance with applicable safety standards and field operating constraints.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, business development, construction, finance, supply chain, strategy, and external industry partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of work experience in robotics systems.
- Proven experience owning releases for systems with embedded or real-time components and hardware interfaces.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks, CI/CD, Python tooling, Docker, and build systems.
- Experience designing test plans and validation strategies for autonomy, robotics, or safety-critical systems is strongly preferred.
- Strong debugging skills across software and hardware boundaries, including systematic reproduction and isolation of field issues.
- Strong theoretical foundation in robotics software and system architecture.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
- Proficiency in ROS 2 and experience integrating ROS with hardware.
- Experience with robotics simulation, digital twins, middleware, networking, DDS, quality-of-service considerations, latency and jitter, and time synchronization.
- Knowledge of robotics platforms and sensor systems.
- Experience delivering complex robotics systems to market.
- English language proficiency is required.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams with minimal supervision and communicate effectively.
