Base Salary
$170k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build Starlink security infrastructure, including cryptographic services and other security-critical services.
- Develop security features for Starlink routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites.
- Design security into factory processes and provide supporting network services.
- Maintain production systems and improve their security posture through direct implementation and recommendations to other teams.
- Build prototypes and identify, design, and test security improvements.
- Support the mission of providing secure and reliable Internet to underserved communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another STEM discipline plus 5+ years of professional security software development experience, or 7+ years of professional security software development experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with at least one software development language, such as Python, C++, or Golang.
- Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or other enterprise or large-scale infrastructure.
- Preferred experience includes security improvements to complex systems, TPMs, HSMs, network protocols, large interactive systems, and related security domains.
- Preferred qualifications include an advanced technical or engineering degree, strong communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
