Base Salary
$170k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build cryptographic services and other security-critical infrastructure for Starlink.
- Develop security features for Starlink routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites.
- Design security into factory processes and provide supporting network services.
- Maintain production systems and improve security through direct implementation and recommendations to other teams.
- Build prototypes and identify, design, and test security improvements.
- Support the mission of providing secure and reliable internet to underserved communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another STEM discipline and 5+ years of professional security software development experience, or 7+ years of professional security software development experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with at least one software development language, such as Python, C++, or Golang.
- Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or other enterprise-scale infrastructure.
- Preferred experience contributing security improvements to complex systems.
- Preferred experience with Trusted Platform Modules and Hardware Security Modules.
- Fundamental understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP and UDP-based protocols.
- Ability to navigate large, complex, interactive systems and learn new technologies quickly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Advanced degree in a technical or engineering discipline is preferred.
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Must satisfy applicable ITAR eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain required authorizations.
Benefits
- Base salary range is $170,000.00-$265,000.00 for Level 3.
