Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly goals for the engineering team.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Identify and advocate for solutions to project, process, technology, or business issues.
- Monitor metrics and support the operations and availability of team artifacts.
- Set and improve code review and design standards, fostering a culture of quality.
- Develop talent on the team through feedback and guidance.
Requirements
- Experience leading significant mobile initiatives, including architecture definition and cross-functional launches.
- Proficient in React Native or native mobile development (Swift/Kotlin).
- Experience with experimentation, feature flagging, and analytics in mobile applications.
- Proficient in shipping web apps using frameworks like React or Vue.
- Strong skills in JavaScript/TypeScript.
- 4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience designing and launching backend systems at scale using technologies like Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to define technical plans for significant features with elegant designs.
- Proficient in making significant changes in large codebases safely.
- Demonstrated ownership of personal growth and proactive feedback seeking.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
