Base Salary
$169k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly team goals while leading engineers through ambiguous, open-ended problems
- Collaborate with product management, design, analytics, peers, and stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle
- Identify and lead resolution of project, process, technology, and business issues
- Create and monitor operational metrics, support availability, and participate in on-call and keep-the-lights-on efforts
- Establish and improve code review and design standards and advocate for engineering quality through writing and tech talks
- Develop team talent through feedback, guidance, and leading by example
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience as a software engineer
- Experience leading significant mobile initiatives using React Native or native technologies, including architecture, cross-functional launches, and production reliability
- Experience working across React Native and native Swift/Kotlin boundaries, debugging platform-specific issues, and improving mobile developer tooling and release processes
- Experience implementing experimentation, feature flagging, and analytics instrumentation in mobile applications
- Experience shipping web applications with declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue
- Proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript
- Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using technologies such as Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
- Ability to define technical plans for significant features or system components and produce simple, extensible, high-quality code
- Experience making significant changes safely in large codebases
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
