Responsibilities
- Develop and ship software features using on-device sensing for health, wellbeing, and safety applications.
- Work with complex multimodal sensor data to create customer-facing experiences.
- Optimize software performance, memory management, and power efficiency.
- Navigate ambiguity in early-stage feature development and define effective paths forward.
- Collaborate with health, research, clinical, and cross-functional partners.
- Explain complex software concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong proficiency in at least one of C++, Objective-C, or Swift.
- Solid understanding of performance optimization, memory management, and power-efficient programming.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to explain complex software concepts to health, research, and clinical professionals.
- Preferred: mobile app development experience with iOS, watchOS, or SwiftUI.
- Preferred: digital signal processing and time-series analysis experience, particularly with biometric or inertial sensor data.
- Preferred: experience in health domains, including SaMD or regulatory products.
- Preferred: proficiency with Python data analysis libraries including matplotlib, pandas, and numpy.
- Preferred: experience with machine learning technologies and algorithm implementation.
- Preferred: experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
