Responsibilities

  • Define and drive comprehensive test strategies for enterprise networking products across functional, scale, performance, resiliency, security, and interoperability testing.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python-based test automation frameworks and automated feature, regression, integration, and customer-deployment test suites.
  • Lead validation of Layer 2, Layer 3, routing, switching, security, SD-WAN, and cloud networking features.
  • Build and optimize CI/CD-based testing pipelines for continuous validation and faster release cycles.
  • Perform root-cause analysis using protocol-level debugging and packet analysis tools, reproduce customer issues, and validate fixes.
  • Drive quality metrics, risk assessment, defect prevention, and release readiness reviews.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, product managers, DevOps, customer support, and customers, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Software QA, Network Testing, or System Validation.
  • Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols and technologies.
  • Hands-on experience testing TCP/IP, IPv6, VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, ARP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, ACLs, firewalls, QoS, NetFlow, GRE, IPsec VPNs, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, AAA, RADIUS, TACACS+, and high-availability and redundancy protocols.
  • Strong experience developing test automation with Python and frameworks such as PyTest, Robot Framework, or Unittest.
  • Experience with REST APIs, JSON, YAML, and API-based validation frameworks.
  • Strong Linux fundamentals, including shell scripting and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with KVM, VMware ESXi, Docker, or Kubernetes.
  • Preferred: proficiency with Git and modern software development workflows.
  • Preferred: debugging experience with Wireshark, tcpdump, Ixia, Spirent, and network protocol analyzers, plus experience creating automated regression and system-level validation suites.
