Responsibilities
- Design and implement microservice API services for MasterPass and other digital payments products.
- Develop software applications using Java and related enterprise technologies.
- Collaborate with technical leads, product management, stakeholders, and technical delivery teams.
- Research frameworks and technologies and assist with prototypes and proof-of-concepts.
- Participate in code reviews and help maintain a high level of code quality.
- Mentor other engineers and collaborate across teams.
- Support robust feature and service delivery within the full software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Successful record of delivering software applications as an individual contributor.
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Java, J2EE, application servers, and web services.
- Experience integrating web services and exposure to building cloud-ready applications.
- Exposure to test-driven development and continuous integration and delivery.
- Experience with Agile Scrum.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Understanding of the full software development lifecycle and relevant technical and market knowledge.
- Computing degree.
